Business Development Director
Job Description
The Director of Business Development will aggressively lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new
business.
Responsibilities:
·Meet and get to know stakeholders across the business to align priorities, strategy, and sales initiatives.
·Visit with executives or key members of each location.
·Identify key targets and business sectors.
·Gather seasonality and low revenue periods.
·Become familiar with all team members responsible for revenue generation.
·Evaluate and identify materials or support needed to enhance business at a local and national level
·Recognize with the help of the local team size of opportunity.
·Partnering and going deep with the sales team including Account Executives, Managers and Senior Leadership to help understand opportunity areas to optimize or drive better results.
·Clearly understand current sales and sales verticals.
·Create geographic business sector or low revenue target areas.
·Identify opportunities to increase our exposure in the marketplace and present to leadership such as list of tradeshows, organization participation etc.
·Working closely with sales leadership to expose maximum opportunity in the market and a roadmap to successfully saturate.
·Identify opportunities and build relationships.
·On qualification of interest, engage Account Executives to advance a lead.
·Create metrics to track lead generation.
·Overlay revenue expectations on top of regular expected revenue.
·Produce collateral to aid new opportunities
·Work with sales team to deliver collateral and optimize the use of various outlets including social media. options to promote the collateral.
·Present alternate solutions or expand on current solutions.
·Present to the executive team a rec to increase market share and enter new markets.
·Determine KPIs for role to track on a quarterly basis or confirmed orders quotes, leads, partnerships
·Monitor ongoing program.
·Conduct periodic interactions both virtually and in person with all Account Executives, assisting with any obstacles that they feel exist and work towards solutions.
·Participate and expand third party opportunities to present PRO EM to the marketplace
·Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
·5+ years’ experience in Business Development, Sales, Marketing
·A strategic thinker who can architect a sales strategy while also being tactical and hands-on in the rollout of operational initiatives
·Highly skilled in negotiations with strong business acumen.
·Exceptional people skills with an outgoing personality
·A strong customer focus
·Strong organization, time management, multi-tasking skills, and detailed oriented
·Self-starter with a professional appearance
·Strong verbal and written communications and presentation skills
·Must be a team player that works well in a collaborative environment
